The Galaxy NYC Summer Internship Program is an immersive and exciting, nine-week experience taking place on-site in our New York HQ office. During the nine weeks, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on, practical work experience on our Operations, Transformation & Change and Onboarding team. In addition to learning on the job, Galaxy interns participate in professional development programming, fun social events, and networking opportunities with senior leaders. 

Responsibilities

  • Support daily operational processes related to trade settlement, reconciliation, data management, and client servicing.
  • Assist with process improvement and transformation initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, automation, and control.
  • Contribute to onboarding activities for new clients, accounts, or business lines by helping document procedures, test systems, and track progress.
  • Collaborate with teams across operations, technology, and finance to identify pain points and recommend practical solutions.
  • Help develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and documentation for ongoing projects and operational workflows.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects supporting change management, regulatory readiness, and process optimization.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; exposure to data analysis or visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Enthusiasm for learning about capital markets, trade lifecycle operations, and process improvement.
  • Self-starter mindset with a desire to contribute ideas and take ownership of tasks in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Eligible master’s students must have fewer than two years of relevant, full-time work experience
  • Students enrolled in PhD, MBA, or JD programs are not eligible to apply.

Interns are classified as non-exempt employees and will be paid a rate of $55/hr.
