This Director of Operations is based in Galvanize’s London office, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and the Chief Investment Officer. This role will play a key role in managing and overseeing the financial activities of our Global Equities Team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include working hand in hand with the existing finance team, collaborating with cross-functional team members, and actively contributing to process improvements resulting in efficiencies.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Manage all aspects of fund operations including investor reporting, fund analysis, regulatory submissions, NAV management, and FX hedging
- →Liaise with Global Investor Partnerships to deliver monthly fund performance reporting and handle prospective investor due diligence questionnaire (DDQs)
- →Oversee regulatory reporting including Form PF, AIFMD, and other regulatory requirements
- →Review and approve monthly NAV packages and coordinate all fund expense payments with the administrators
- →Oversee the production of monthly Fact Sheets to ensure accuracy in reporting fund performance metrics
- →Assist with FCA registration and ensure compliance with UK reporting requirements
- →Oversee any required foreign exchange (FX) hedging activities at both the fund and share class level
- →Collaborate with internal and external legal teams to review and produce required fund documents and regulatory reports
- →Manage the opening of additional custody accounts as necessary to support fund operations and compliance requirements
- →Provide strategic oversight of the UK Finance and Operations function, ensuring strong financial governance, accuracy of reporting, and effective operational execution across the firm’s UK subsidiary, including review of management accounts, expense oversight, payables, and corporation tax compliance
- Proven ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and take ownership
- High attention to detail, be highly organized, yet flexible with a willingness to change priorities quickly
- Proactively anticipate needs and cultivate solutions
- Strong analytical skills in assessing complex financial operation data
- Proficiency in regulatory reporting and compliance requirements
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in fund operations, financial management, and regulatory compliance
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU regulatory requirements such as Form PF, AIFMD, and other regulatory reporting
