What We Offer
~1 min read- Construction administration for municipal and site civil projects, including the change order process, contractor applications for payment, and project closeout procedures.
- Review and approval of shop drawings, and evaluation of product and material substitutions for compliance with the contract documents.
- Interpretation of contract documents, plans, and specifications.
- Site observations and reporting, including verifying that work progress complies with the plans and specifications.
- Inspection and testing of materials delivered and installed, and confirming work quality meets compliance standards and specifications.
- Municipal engineering support, including bid documentation, specifications, cost estimation, and constructability review.
- Regulatory compliance for municipal and site civil projects, and grant writing support.
- Constructability and cost estimation for site civil design.
- 10+ years of experience with construction administration, including change orders, pay applications, shop drawing review, and project closeout.
- Experience with municipal engineering projects, including bid documentation, specifications, and cost estimating.
- Experience performing site observations and inspections, and preparing field reports.
- Ability to read and interpret contract documents, plans, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of utility design and site civil design concepts.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements and grant funding processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies and constructability issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field
- A plus, if this person is a Professional Engineer (PE), or holds related inspection or testing certifications.
