About the Role

- Assist in identifying electrical hazards and conducting risk assessments for equipment, labs, and operations.
- Help create, review, and maintain equipment-specific energy control procedures and documentation.
- Help develop and deliver safety training materials related to electrical safety and LOTO practices.
- Support electrical hazard assessments, labeling efforts, and PPE evaluations.
- Promote a strong safety culture by engaging with employees and reinforcing safe work practices.
Requirements
~1 min read- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field (Junior or Senior standing preferred).
- Evidence of exceptional ability (prior projects, portfolio of work, completed products, etc).
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety fundamentals.
- Ability to assess occupational health and safety risks and apply health and safety principles to develop effective risk mitigation solutions.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills for audits, inspections, and procedure development.
Requirements
~1 min readThe hourly pay range for this internship is $28–$33 per hour, depending on the candidate’s current standing in school (i.e. sophomore, senior).
Interns will receive a monthly housing stipend, and are eligible for overtime pay. Please note that the stated hourly range is an estimate and may be adjusted based on market conditions, business needs, or other factors.
