Senior Lead Engineer

Position Summary The Senior Software Lead is responsible for driving the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions while leading a team of engineers. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will serve as both a hands-on contributor and a technical mentor, ensuring high-quality code, architectural excellence, and timely delivery of business-critical applications. Key Responsibilities · Lead the design and architecture of scalable, secure, and high-performance systems. · Define technical standards, frameworks, and best practices. · Participate in hands-on coding for complex components and conduct code reviews. · Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies. · Mentor and lead a team of software engineers; conduct performance reviews. · Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. · Estimate timelines, manage sprint planning, and ensure on-time delivery. · Drive Agile/Scrum best practices and DevOps culture. · Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards. · Continuously improve development processes and system performance. Requirements Required Qualifications · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. · 8–12+ years of professional software development experience. · 3–5+ years in a technical leadership or team lead role. · Strong proficiency in Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript. · Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). · Strong understanding of microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems, and databases. · Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools. Preferred Qualifications · Experience with high-availability systems and performance optimization. · Domain experience in fin tech, healthcare, e-commerce, or enterprise solutions. · Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices. · Experience managing distributed or global teams. · Relevant certifications (AWS, Azure, Scrum, etc.).
