  • You need a playbook to start your day. We are building the world's first programmable bank, and you'll often define the process while executing it.

  • You prefer to check the boxes and move on. CDD at Augustus requires deep investigative curiosity and the ability to spot patterns that automated systems miss.

  • You find frequent pivots in compliance tech or regulatory focus frustrating. Our roadmap moves fast, and your workflow will change with it.

  • You go silent when you're stuck. We move at a fintech pace and rely on you to flag bottlenecks or ambiguous edge cases immediately.

  • You view compliance as a hurdle rather than a product feature. You’ll be working closely with engineering teams to make onboarding both secure and seamless.

  • You are uncomfortable making high-stakes decisions with incomplete data. You'll need to trust your judgment and own the risk outcomes you sign off on.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in CDD or KYC within a US fintech or bank.

  • Deep working knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC regulations.

  • Direct experience performing deep-dive enhanced due diligence (EDD) the AML programs of other financial institutions and on complex corporate structures and UBOs.

  • Proven track record of using and improving automated onboarding verification flows using tools like Alloy, Middesk, or others.

  • Based in New York City or the Dallas area, or willing to relocate.

Compensation packages at Augustus include base salary, equity, and benefits. New hire offers are made based on a candidate's experience, expertise and geographic location. The annual US base salary range for this role is $80,000-$120,000 + equity.
