Who are we looking for?
With a strong pipeline of upcoming work, our Contamination Assessment and Remediation (CAR) team for SA & NT is seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist or Engineer to join us in Adelaide or Darwin (with some travel to Adelaide).
You’ll apply your experience and expertise across diverse projects involving groundwater, waste, soil, surface water, asbestos, PFAS and hydrocarbon contamination, along with site assessments, monitoring and reporting.
You’ll have access to a global network of industry specialists, exposure to diverse multidisciplinary projects and clients, support from passionate leaders, ongoing professional development opportunities, and the resources you need to succeed.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Plan and deliver field investigations for contaminated site projects, including site assessments, sampling and monitoring programs across metropolitan and regional locations.
Manage environmental data and prepare clear, accurate technical reports that support practical, evidence-based recommendations for clients.
Contribute to all stages of the project lifecycle, from client engagement and tender preparation through to project delivery, remediation and close-out.
Coordinate project activities, contractors, budgets and schedules across multiple contaminated land assignments of varying size and complexity.
Build trusted relationships and collaborate with clients, regulators, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compliant and high-quality project outcomes.
What you will bring to the team.
Bachelor’s degree qualification in Science (Environmental, Geology, Hydrogeology and related) or Engineering (Environmental and related).
Between 4 and 8 years’ experience in contamination assessment and remediation projects, ideally within a consulting environment.
Well-developed skills in fieldwork, including contractor engagement, leading site assessment and monitoring tasks.
Experience in project managing multiple small, mid-sized or large scale multi-disciplinary projects concurrently.
Excellent listening and communication skills along with a readiness to develop relationships with your network.
A current driver’s license, and willingness to travel to regional locations on occasion.
