Lead Engineer / Technical Director – Dams

We’re seeking a seasoned Dams Engineer at the Lead to Principal level to join our market-leading Northern Australia Dams Group. Our team delivers some of the most complex and high-profile dams and hydropower projects across Australia and internationally — offering you the opportunity to lead, innovate, and make a lasting impact. This role can be based in any of our Northern Australia office locations.

• Deliver expert input across geotechnical, structural, hydraulic, design, and construction management disciplines.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Lead proposal development and contribute to strategic growth initiatives.

• Mentor and support junior engineers.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

• Identify and pursue new opportunities.
• Support site-based assignments during construction phases as needed.

• →Minimum Bachelor’s degree qualifications in civil engineering or related discipline.
• →RPEQ registration (or commitment to attain).
• →Be a seasoned professional with an in depth understanding of dams engineering (geotechnical, structural, hydraulic).
• →Proven experience in design and/or construction management.
• →Strong leadership, communication, and client engagement skills.
