Full time, permanent. (Hybrid: 3 days in the Studio)
Leeds, Manchester, Oxford or London
About us:
For over 60 years we’ve been designing exceptional places across the globe, driven by the belief that by designing intelligently with people and nature we can make a positive difference. We value highly our living legacy – it’s one of the pillars of our practice – and that means that we’re always looking for passionate, purposeful and like-minded people to join us.
Ranging across the UK and internationally we design places from small community parks and neighbourhoods to city districts. We are collaborative, supportive and foster a creative design approach that is intelligent, responsible and with foresight to best protect and harness the earth’s equilibrium. We can help create remarkable places that are personal and be the setting for human stories to unfold. We are an agile, independently minded team, working in creative and sociable studio atmospheres from six cities – London, Oxford, Manchester, Leeds, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh.
About the role:
We are seeking a BIM Technician to join our Leeds, Manchester, Oxford or London studios and support the delivery of landscape architecture, masterplanning and urban design projects. Reporting to the BIM Coordinator/manager, the primary focus of this role is to produce and maintain accurate Revit models, technical drawing information and BIM deliverables in line with project requirements and Gillespies' ISO 19650-aligned BIM standards. You will work closely with landscape architects, urban designers and the wider BIM team to translate design information into coordinated, high-quality digital outputs.
We welcome applications from both junior and experienced BIM Technicians. The level of responsibility and salary offered will be tailored to reflect the candidate's experience and performance at interview.
Responsibilities:
Modelling and Documentation

- Translate 2D drawings, sketches and design layouts into accurate 3D models of landforms and design elements.
- Support the preparation of technical drawing packages and documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Support the production of 3D views and visual outputs for internal design development and communication purposes.
BIM Process and Quality
- Apply Gillespies' BIM standards, templates, workflows and naming conventions consistently across all project deliverables.
- Carry out model checks for accuracy, coordination and quality in line with project BIM requirements.
- Undertake model coordination checks and support the identification and resolution of clashes and coordination issues in collaboration with the BIM Coordinator and project team.
- Work in line with ISO 19650-aligned workflows, including model naming, file structure, information exchange and quality assurance.
- Ensure all deliverables meet project deadlines and quality requirements.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with the design team to ensure accurate implementation of project designs.
- Maintain consistent communication with project teams to deliver reliable BIM outputs.
- Participate in project reviews and coordination meetings as required.
Continuous Improvement and Training
- Stay updated with Revit and other relevant software tools, implementing improvements where applicable.
- Assist and support in the delivery of training programmes devised by the BIM Manager / BIM Coordinator.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of BIM libraries, templates and standards where relevant.
