The role of Associate Financial Agency


LAS are looking for an Associate to join our team in managing agency and credit servicing activities, focusing on executing financial transactions as well as supporting restructuring and distressed situations.

The role combines transaction management, operational execution and stakeholder coordination, offering broad visibility across complex financing structures and direct interaction with lenders, borrowers and advisors.


Key Responsibilities


  • Act as Agency support on performing financing transactions (e.g. loan agency, security agency, facility agency)
  • Support monitoring and management activities for private debt and UTP credit funds throughout their entire lifecycle
  • Assist in organizing operational activities related to data remediation and data quality for the credit portfolio
  • Oversee and review activities performed by Analysts and Senior Analysts
  • Monitor the progress of the project and update the senior team
  • Prepare and organize documentation for periodic client update meetings
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of live transactions
  • Support and oversee the onboarding of new mandates, including the review of transaction documentation and calculations within the management system
  • Monitor contractual obligations, key dates and milestones
  • Coordinate with lenders, borrowers, legal advisors and other transaction parties
  • Support and check drawdowns, repayments, calculations, amendments and waivers
  • Maintain and update transaction records, reporting and data repositories
  • Assist in portfolio monitoring and periodic reporting activities
  • Support senior team members on restructuring and special situations, including:
    • amendments and restructurings of existing facilities
    • distressed or underperforming credits
    • interaction with multiple creditor groups
  • Contribute to process improvement and standardisation initiatives

 

Experience and Qualifications 


  • University degree in Economics, Finance, Law or related fields
  • 2–4 years of experience in financial services, banking, loan agency, restructuring, transaction services or advisory
  • Solid understanding of loan documentation and financing structures
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously
  • Proactive, hands-on and solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with senior stakeholders
  • Fluent in Italian and in English (written and spoken)
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with internal systems and reporting tools is a plus


Nice to Have 


  • Prior exposure to restructuring, special situations or distressed credits
  • Experience working with credit funds, banks or alternative lenders
  • Understanding of intercreditor dynamics and complex capital structures
