Flavor Science Intern (R&D) 2027

Intern required for 6 months to support the R&D Foods team. Role will involve supporting the following activities:

Liquid and Powder ingredients concentrate and application issue resolution including bench top preparation and scale-ups and stability testing for our Sweet and Savoury portfolio of products.

Analytical testing to support the foods forensics and brand stewardship team on issue resolution.

Responsible for sweet and savoury finished products and application in project related lab analysis.

Support global seasoning project through routine powder testing and new instrument method development

• →Ensuring all instrumentation used in the testing is calibrated and are in a suitable for use.
• →Maintain good lab practice to a high standard /maintain accurate records
• →Prepare digital reports, interpret data and relay results in a timely manner
• →Contributing to safety assessments/risk assessments
• →Ensure compliance with EHS guidelines.

• Undertaking BSc in Food Science/ Chemistry/ Nutrition (or related discipline)
• Good verbal and written communication, skills.
• Excellent people skills.
• Team Player.
• Self-starter, self-sufficient and eager to learn.
• Interest in Food and the Food Industry.
• Strong IT Skills in Word & Excel.

Additional Desired qualifications and/or experience: Understanding of powder and analytical instrumentation is desired, however training on specific equipment will be provided.
