At Raytheon, the foundation of everything we do is rooted in our values and a higher calling – to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression.  We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today’s mission and stay ahead of tomorrow’s threat.  Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Strategy Manager to join its Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Strategy team – serving as a key adviser to senior leadership.  In this high-impact role, you will partner with the SBU Strategy Lead for Raytheon’s Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) business to drive strategic insight across the portfolio, guiding mid to long-term priorities that will enhance the SBU’s competitive position, risk profile, and business outcomes.

Land & Air Defense Systems provides proven integrated air and missile defense and precision strike capabilities, ranging from advanced sensors to precision effectors.  With more than 50 international partners and greater than 60% international sales, LADS is a global team committed to delivering next-generation, cross-domain solutions to counter worldwide threats.  Key offerings include the Patriot and NASAMS air defense systems, next-gen LTAMDS / GhostEye radars, Stinger weapons system, Javelin weapon system, Excalibur projectile, and Coyote family of counter-UAS and loitering munitions systems

You will lead rigorous qualitative and quantitative assessments to inform the SBU long‑range plan, strategic initiatives, investments, portfolio optimization, and inorganic strategy - including mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and joint ventures. Partnering closely with stakeholders across product areas, business development, communications, finance, engineering, and operations, you will define ambiguous challenges, build structured strategic hypotheses, and deliver clear, executive‑ready recommendations that influence high‑impact decisions.

Success in this role requires exceptional strategic judgment, analytical depth, non-positional influence, and executive communication skills, along with a strong understanding of the global aerospace and defense landscape, customer budget cycles, and competitive dynamics. The ideal candidate operates autonomously, manages multiple concurrent workstreams, and maintains disciplined objectivity under pressure.

This onsite role is based near the following locations: Woburn, MA; Tucson, AZ; Huntsville, AL; Arlington VA; McKinney, TX; or Farmington, CT. (Relocation assistance is not available)
