We are seeking an AU Internal Senior Accountant to join one of our clients. In this role, you will provide financial control and administrative support to the CFO, ensuring effective, efficient, and accurate financial and operational processes across the business. You will be responsible for financial reporting, tax compliance, cash flow management, debtor monitoring, payroll support, and maintaining the integrity of financial records and systems. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership while contributing to process improvements and overall financial performance.

• →Manage month-end and year-end processes, including the preparation and processing of accounting entries.
• →Prepare monthly reconciliations, supporting schedules, and analyses of profit and loss and balance sheet accounts.
• →Assist in the preparation of monthly financial analysis and reporting packs.
• →Prepare year-end working files and consolidated financial statements.
• →Prepare year-end tax calculations and draft income tax returns.
• →Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), annual tax returns, and related analyses.
• →Prepare working papers and supporting documentation for dividend payments.
• →Assist with annual budget preparation, performance tracking, and cost driver analysis.
• →Identify tax compliance and tax planning issues.
• →Assist in preparing and monitoring cash flow projections.
• →Support Directors, Finance Team members, and staff with debtor management and cash collection activities.
• →Coordinate fee funding transactions and monitor settlements and ongoing progress.
• →Escalate overdue debtor accounts as required.
• →Provide support for payroll review and processing activities, including payroll, superannuation, and related payments.
• →Maintain the integrity of payroll, superannuation, leave, and other employee-related financial records.
• →Process financial transactions and maintain the accuracy of MYOB and the general ledger.
• →Support client-facing staff and team assistants with MYOB transactions and finance-related inquiries.
• →Assist with company secretarial matters, including ASIC filings.
• →Support daily banking activities, including processing cash receipts and reporting bank balances.
• →Manage trust account transactions, including payments, receipts, reconciliations, and audit requirements.
• →Perform ad hoc finance, payroll, and project-related tasks as required.
• →Identify opportunities to improve financial controls, processes, and operational efficiencies.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA qualification is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in internal accounting, internal audit, finance, or a related role.
• Proven experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
• Experience preparing financial statements, management reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Experience preparing BAS, IAS, tax calculations, and annual tax returns.
• Experience in cash flow forecasting, debtor management, and cash collection activities.
• Proficiency in MYOB or similar accounting software.
• Experience managing trust account transactions, reconciliations, and compliance requirements is highly regarded.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
