We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support the finance operations of a growing group of entities across Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. This role is responsible for managing accounts payable, invoicing, reconciliations, payroll, financial reporting, and tax compliance while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely delivery of financial information.
Qualifications
- CPA qualified or equivalent professional accounting designation
- 4–6 years of experience in an accounting, financial reporting, or client accounting role
- Strong working knowledge of Xero, including bank feeds, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Experience working across multiple entities and jurisdictions is highly regarded
- Australian accounting experience preferred; exposure to New Zealand and Singapore accounting requirements is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy across multiple entities
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Available to work 4–5 days per week
- Hybrid set up and morning shift
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Invoicing
- Manage weekly payment batches and occasional urgent payments across multiple entities using various banking platforms
- Process monthly management fee and rental invoicing
- Follow up on outstanding receivables and overdue payments
Reconciliations & Financial Reporting
- Perform bank and account reconciliations across all group entities
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items and discrepancies in a timely manner
- Prepare monthly financial reports using Xero
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and supporting workpapers for each entity
Payroll
- Process monthly payroll for Australian employees within the group
Tax & Compliance
- Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) for Australian entities
- Assist with GST compliance requirements for New Zealand and Singapore entities
- Support income tax compliance activities and coordinate with external service providers across multiple jurisdictions
Stakeholder & Project Support
- Liaise with external advisors, auditors, and service providers as required
- Support ad hoc finance projects, audits, and reporting requests across the group
