Senior Software Developer

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.​

 This is a hybrid position. You’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office, so you should live within commuting distance. Hybrid teams may work in-office as much as a few times a week or as little as once a month or quarter, as decided by leadership. We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Frontend-Focused) to join our team. In this role, you’ll lead the development of modern web applications with a strong emphasis on frontend architecture and user experience, while also contributing across the full stack to deliver reliable, scalable product solutions. You’ll work on experiences that serve customers in the domain aftermarket space, where performance, trust, usability, and innovation all matter.

• →Build and evolve customer-facing web applications that support GoDaddy’s domain aftermarket experiences
• →Lead implementation of complex frontend features and contribute to full stack solutions across services and APIs
• →Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to turn customer needs and business goals into thoughtful technical solutions
• →Build and deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable software with a strong focus on quality, performance, accessibility, and security
• →Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across systems, services, and applications
• →Help build engineering direction through architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical recommendations
• →Improve team efficiency by finding opportunities to streamline development workflows, raise quality, and reduce friction
• →Guide other engineers by working together, offering feedback, and exchanging knowledge
• →Use AI tools as part of your day-to-day workflow to accelerate development, improve debugging, enhance code quality, and support delivery
• →Assist in advancing AI-based product capabilities aimed at improving customer experiences, like smarter discovery, recommendations, content assistance, or workflow support in the aftermarket domain. 

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong depth in frontend development
• Experience developing modern web applications with technologies like React, Next.js, and Redux, along with strong proficiency in TypeScript
• Full stack engineering experience, including backend services, APIs, and application integration
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Node.js, Java, Python, or Go
• Experience crafting software that is scalable, performant, resilient, and maintainable
• Strong understanding of UI fundamentals and how they influence product quality, including visual hierarchy, accessibility, consistency, interaction patterns, and established UI/UX guidelines
• Experience building user interfaces that are intuitive, polished, and customer-centered
• Solid grasp of web performance, accessibility, and contemporary application architecture
• Experience debugging complex issues in production environments across interconnected systems
• Experience with observability instrumentation, including logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
• Solid grasp of Scrum procedures and meetings
• Ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, and drive work through completion
• Experience mentoring others and contributing to a strong engineering culture
• Comfort working in agile teams and collaborating across fields
• Hands-on experience using AI in day-to-day engineering workflows
• Experience creating or embedding AI-powered product features to increase customer value

• Experience with highly available or fault-tolerant application development
• Experience with building systems, shared UI platforms, or reusable component libraries
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and DevOps practices
• Experience with automated testing, performance analysis, and quality engineering
• Experience with recommendation systems, intelligent search, conversational interfaces, or LLM-powered product features
• Familiarity with domain investing, domain marketplaces, auctions, ecommerce, or digital asset platforms
