We’re looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer – Lead to help drive product quality across our engineering teams.
In this role, you will own the QA strategy and execution for a product area, work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other QA team members, and ensure that quality risks are identified early in the development lifecycle.
You will lead test planning and execution, contribute to automation strategy, mentor QA engineers, and help improve QA processes, tools, and ways of working. The ideal candidate is a strong hands-on tester with practical automation experience, good product judgment, and the ability to guide a team through complex releases and changing priorities.

Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Own the overall QA strategy, test planning, test execution, and release-readiness assessment for an assigned product area.
- →Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and Technical Leads to review requirements, identify gaps, clarify expected behaviour, and define appropriate test coverage.
- →Create risk-based test strategies for large features and technical initiatives, balancing product risk, customer impact, available time, and release priorities.
- →Lead and support manual, API, integration, and automation testing across web-based applications and services.
- →Contribute to the design, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of test automation frameworks and automated regression coverage.
- →Monitor CI/CD automation results, investigate failures, and work with QA and Engineering teams to address product, test-data, environment, and automation issues.
- →Mentor QA team members through test-case reviews, requirement analysis, debugging, product knowledge sharing, and regular technical feedback.
- →Track QA progress, risks, dependencies, and resource constraints, and communicate them clearly to Product, Engineering, and QA leadership.
- →Identify opportunities to improve QA processes, tools, metrics, and team efficiency, and drive the adoption of practical solutions.
- →Explore and adopt useful AI-assisted QA workflows for areas such as requirement analysis, test-case generation, impact analysis, debugging, and automation development.
- →Support cross-product initiatives and collaborate with other QA teams when broader product or platform changes require shared ownership.
- →Help maintain accountability through meaningful quality metrics, defect analysis, root-cause analysis, and preventive actions.
- You have strong experience in software quality assurance, including hands-on functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and release testing.
- You have experience leading QA activities for a product, project, or engineering team.
- You understand test strategy, risk-based testing, impact analysis, defect management, and release-readiness assessment.
- You have practical experience with web and API automation using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar technologies.
- You understand automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, test execution, failure investigation, and maintenance of automated tests.
- You are comfortable working with Product Managers, Developers, Technical Leads, and other stakeholders to resolve requirement, quality, and delivery concerns.
- You can break down complex features into clear test areas and provide realistic estimates based on scope, dependencies, and risk.
- You communicate risks, blockers, progress, and resource needs clearly and transparently.
- You enjoy mentoring team members and helping them improve their testing, debugging, automation, and product-analysis skills.
- You stay current with practical developments in QA tools, automation, and AI-assisted software testing.
- You are willing to learn new product areas and support teams outside your immediate area when required.
- You take ownership, follow through on commitments, and remain calm and practical during tight delivery timelines.
- Experience working with education technology, reporting/data products, or SaaS platforms is helpful but not required.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
