The Manufacturing Operator operates and monitors precision equipment used in lithium-ion battery prototyping. This role supports a fast-paced R&D environment by producing high-quality experimental cells while maintaining strict safety and process standards. Operators are expected to develop deep expertise in at least one process area while remaining competent across all others.

Responsibilities

→Operate slurry mixers, slot die coaters, calendering/slitting machines, cell assembly equipment, and battery testing
→Prepare materials and set up equipment according to defined process parameters and SOPs
→Monitor processes and inspect materials to ensure quality and consistency
→Perform basic troubleshooting and routine equipment maintenance
→Record production data, process parameters, and equipment performance
→Follow all safety protocols, including chemical handling and PPE requirements
→Collaborate with EHS, engineering, facilities, and R&D teams to support process development and continuous improvement

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
2+ years of experience operating manufacturing or processing equipment
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs precisely
Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
Experience with battery manufacturing or similar materials/process equipment preferred
Familiarity with coating, mixing, calendering, slitting, assembly processes, or battery testing preferred
Experience in prototyping, pilot-line, or R&D environments preferred
Knowledge of dryroom practices and quality systems preferred
