Architect II

Role Summary

To supervise the daily functions of the CAD Technician and trainee draughtsman in executing assigned projects. To prepare projects for further execution.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Supervise and develop training programs for the advancement of all building maintenance.

2. Liaise with relevant units on building projects and prepare building plans to ensure that they are to the required Government and building regulations standards.

3. Supervise the Building Prevention Maintenance Program to ensure compliance with Government and building regulations.

4. Prepare Gantt Charts for Project to assist with Project Management.

5. Assist with analyzing tender documents at close of tender period for Project Management purposes.

6. Assist with the preparation of the budget expenditure for the architecture section for management information purposes.

7. Assist with preparing materials for the media on Government Projects.

8. Assist with the coordination of meetings, training sessions and workshops to ensure awareness of policies and procedures.

9. Supervise assigned staff.

10. Prepare relevant reports on the activities of the assigned area.

11. Perform any other related duties as required by Supervisor or any other senior officer in order to contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of the department

Minimum Qualification

•  Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or a related area

• Three (3) years working experience in a related area

   

   

Knowledge and Skills

• Sound knowledge of Government structure, policies and procedures

• Sound knowledge in Project Management

• Sound knowledge of computer Software such as AutoCAD

• Sound knowledge of Total Quality Management

• Sound knowledge of relevant computer software applications

• Sound analytical and decision-making skills

• Sound oral and written communication skills

• Sound Interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team player

• Sound Supervisory and management skills
