About the Role
~1 min readWe’re looking for a Carrier Relations Manager to manage an assigned Carrier book of business. This role will be responsible for ensuring our members have a seamless experience as we coordinate their enrollments and payments with their selected Carrier. This person understands how to navigate relationships and structures within Carriers and can support process enhancements at Gravie to strengthen those relationships. The Carrier Relations Manager will play a pivotal role in product and service developments that are changing the way consumer health plan needs are met.

Nurture existing and establish new carrier relationships with the aim of improving and scaling enrollment processes.

Work with the enrollment team to build out a carrier knowledge base, with the aim of creating collateral and education sources for our internal teams & clients.

Create a rhythm of regular meetings and proactive book of business review with assigned carriers.

Maintain feedback loop between cross-functional stakeholders and Carriers to enhance Gravie benefit solutions.

Collaborate with Carriers to identify and expand market growth opportunities, supporting Gravie's strategic goals in key growth markets.

Support carrier reporting reconciliation, ensuring alignment between carrier data and internal operations to maintain accuracy across systems.

Manage payment and enrollment escalations through to resolution.

Monitor Team Salesforce Task queue daily.

Partner with cross-functional operational team leaders on process/product improvements.

Update and maintain Carrier Source of Truth tracker.

Demonstrate commitment to our core competencies of being authentic, curious, creative, empathetic and outcome oriented.

At least 4 years of experience working with insurance carriers as an account manager, sales or business development professional or other relevant position in a health insurance carrier.

A track record of building and fostering internal and external stakeholder relationships.

A strong strategy and vision, combined with a go-getter attitude.

Experience in team building, process improvement and relationship management.

Ability to successfully collaborate with other teams on various carrier-related projects and assist in Gravie’s enrollment-related OKRs (improving enrollment processes).

Experience with data analysis to develop actionable insights and recommendations that drive carrier relationship strategy and operational improvements.

Organize and take ownership of carrier collateral.

Assist with the interviewing processes to help build out the carrier team as well as train/onboard new team members.

Provide guidance on day-to-day business strategies specific to Carrier relationship maintenance.

Ability to effectively communicate with kindness and tact, internally and externally.

Demonstrated success getting results through collaboration.

Experience extracting and adding information in Salesforce.

Experience with Tableau dashboard or similar.

Bachelor’s Degree

The salary range for this position is $94,350 - $157,250 annually. Numerous factors including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. will be considered when determining compensation.
