SUMMARY
To lead group and private lessons for adults and juniors for up to 40 hours per week. To create new lesson and programming opportunities for members and guests of The Resort with a focus on high level competitive tennis players and driving revenue for the Resort’s lesson program. To provide tennis instruction, tournament administration, build the membership base, and grow all tennis clinics and groups for the success of the club.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with Director of Tennis on all tennis related activities.
Administer and implement all Tennis activities including Lessons, Leagues, Mixers and Tournaments with a focus on developing high level competitive junior players and adults.
Responsible for providing instruction for adult and junior lessons.
Adhere to The Club’s budget plan.
Provide all tennis information to the Director of Tennis and the Desk Supervisor on a timely basis to ensure professionalism.
String tennis racquets to USRSA’s standards and to members in a timely basis
Assist in non- tennis related activities during times of high occupancy
Assist with facility checks.
Maintain an active role in the USTA and USPTA at the district, sectional and national levels.
To understand and apply the Resort’s and Club’s mission statement.
Perform any/all duties assigned by manager.
Must understand and abide by environmental practices of the resort.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in Tennis Club Management preferred
USPTA or PTR Certification preferred
Previous experience working in a business environment preferred
Previous demonstrated experience developing a tennis program a plus

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (If applicable)
Supervise tennis instructors, administer and implement all tennis activities, update the desk staff via email and in writing of all current classes, sign-up sheets, and events.

Must be able to stand/teach for long periods of time.
TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS
Meet deadlines for paperwork and pro-fees successfully. Must maintain a positive attitude and spirit of teamwork.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Noise level is low to moderate. Working environment is indoors/outdoors. Hours and days required are varied and will include nights and weekends.
