3D Modeler for Vehicles, Sets, & Set Dressing: Paw Patrol

Responsibilities:

• Model appealing production friendly location and set dressing assets for a television series based on approved designs
• Identify problems in designs and provide well thought out solutions in alignment with production scope
• Make sure work is completed and delivered per schedule; able to work to bid day
• Keep current on modeling techniques and technology and propose new tools/methodologies
• Take direction from Art Director, Lead and Supervisor when provided
• Complete scheduled tasks on time and to scope
• Use 3D modeling software to re-topologize sculpted objects optimally for rigging, texturing, and animation
  

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience working as a 3D Modeler in Series and/or Feature Animation production
• Strong knowledge of topology and asset optimization is required, focusing on modular builds
• Extensive knowledge in subdivision-modeling polygonal objects, using Maya, Zbrush, and Blender packages.
• Portfolio featuring hard surface modeling, featuring locations and modular builds
• Demonstrate a strong ability to understand and interpret 2D Designs in 3D
• Strong organic sculpting skills is a must
• The ideal candidate would have strong practical environmental and hard modeling skills
• Ability to communicate creatively and technically to your teammates, including flagging concerns and issues to Production and CG Supervisor
• Experience with Autodesk Shotgrid/Flow is required, including submission notes, tasks statuses and logging work time
• Intermediate knowledge of Python is required
• Knowledge of Houdini and USD workflows
• Love for Animation!

Contract Duration: Fixed-term contract of approximately 21 weeks

Expected Compensation: $1450 - $1650 per week, depending on experience and role requirements
