HealthBay is a leading healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and improving the health and well-being of our community. We are currently seeking a Gift Processing Specialist to join our team and support our fundraising efforts.

Position Summary:

The Gift Processing Specialist will be responsible for processing and acknowledging all donations made to HealthBay. This includes accurately recording and tracking gifts, ensuring timely acknowledgement and recognition of donors, and maintaining donor records in our database. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for supporting a nonprofit organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process all donations made to HealthBay, including cash, checks, credit card payments, and online donations

- Accurately record and track all gifts in our donor database

- Prepare and send timely acknowledgement letters and tax receipts to donors

- Maintain donor records and ensure accuracy and completeness of donor information

- Assist with donor stewardship and recognition efforts, including coordinating donor recognition events and activities

- Collaborate with the development team to develop and implement fundraising strategies and campaigns

- Provide excellent customer service to donors and respond to inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner

- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical fundraising practices and donor privacy policies

- Other duties as assigned by the Development Manager

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in gift processing or donor relations in a nonprofit organization

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with donor databases

- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Understanding of ethical fundraising practices and donor privacy policies

- Passion for supporting a nonprofit organization and its mission
