At Backpack Healthcare, we believe clinicians deserve meaningful work that fits their lives.

We’re seeking a part-time PMHNP who wants flexibility, strong clinical collaboration, and the opportunity to make a measurable difference in the lives of children, teens, and young adults — all through a fully remote model.

Whether you’re:

  • Supplementing an existing role

Partner closely with therapists, psychiatrists, and care coordinators in an integrated behavioral health setting.

  • Mentorship available (new graduates welcome)

  • CEU reimbursement

  • Ongoing clinical consultation and team case reviews

We are building a mental health system that honors both the provider and the patient — sustainable, compassionate, and innovative.

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations via telehealth

  • Formulate accurate, evidence-based diagnoses

  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families

  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications

  • Monitor effectiveness and adjust treatment as needed

  • Provide brief supportive therapy and psychoeducation

  • Partner with therapists and care teams to ensure coordinated treatment

  • Participate in interdisciplinary case consultations

  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the EHR

  • Uphold all ethical and professional standards

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited PMHNP program

  • Active, unrestricted Virginia PMHNP license & DEA

  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

  • Comfort practicing in a telehealth environment
