A warm and busy family based in Nashville is seeking a dependable and caring afternoon nanny to support their two children, ages 5 and 8, during the after-school hours. The family is looking for someone who is reliable, engaging, and able to bring structure and positivity to the children’s afternoon routine.

Responsibilities

→School pick-up and safe transportation to home or activities
→After-school snack preparation and supervision
→Supporting homework and early learning activities
→Engaging children in structured play, outdoor time, and creative activities
→Coordinating playdates and extracurricular schedules as needed
→Ensuring a safe, positive, and structured after-school environment
→Light communication with parents regarding daily updates
→Children’s laundry and organization
→Tidying play areas and children’s rooms
→Packing school bags, snacks, and activity items
→Light kitchen clean-up after children’s meals/snacks
→Keeping children’s schedules and belongings organized

Qualifications:

→Minimum of 3+ years of recent childcare experience, including at least 1 year in a professional nanny or private household caregiver role
→Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
→Reliable personal vehicle with current insurance (IRS mileage reimbursement provided)
→Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain prior to start
→Minimum age: 21 years old
→Fluent in English; Spanish language skills are a strong plus
→Non-smoker
→Up-to-date TB and Tdap vaccinations
→Must be a U.S. citizen or hold valid work authorization/visa documentation
→Ability to successfully complete a comprehensive criminal background and reference check
→Available to begin by June 1, 2026
→Must be based locally
