Dean of Student Life

Heritage International School is seeking a relational, student-centered leader to serve as our Dean of Student Life beginning in the 2026/27 school year.

This is a senior leadership role focused on student culture, well-being, behaviour systems, leadership development, and student engagement across the school. The Dean works closely with the Head of School, Principals, and leadership team to help shape a thriving, Christ-centered school culture where students are known, supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about students, mentorship, school culture, restorative discipline practices, and leadership development, while still enjoying meaningful collaboration with teachers, families, and school leadership.

Key Areas of Leadership

The Dean of Student Life will provide leadership in areas such as:

• School-wide student culture and behaviour systems
• Student well-being and pastoral support
• Student leadership development
• House systems and school spirit initiatives
• Student life and enrichment programming
• Collaboration with families regarding student growth and support
• Oversight and coordination of student-focused programs including:
  • Athletics
  • Student Support Services
  • Student Life & Enrichment

This role is intentionally student-facing while also remaining actively involved in broader school leadership and collaboration.

The Right Candidate Will:

• Be a committed follower of Christ with a strong personal faith
• Have experience in educational leadership, student life, pastoral care, counselling, discipline, or school culture
• Be relational, approachable, and highly collaborative
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
• Be skilled in conflict resolution, mentoring, and restorative practices
• Thrive in an international and cross-cultural environment
• Have a passion for building healthy school culture and student belonging

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field preferred
• Minimum five years of teaching experience
• Previous leadership experience in student life, pastoral care, or administration preferred
• International school experience preferred
