Our client is seeking a creative Acoustic Engineer for one of the top manufacturers in the professional audio industry—an innovator known for advanced loudspeaker technology used in major global concerts, festivals, and installations. The company is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of live sound through precision engineering and next-generation product development to design and develop new loudspeaker products and contribute to innovative research that advances professional audio technology. Your work will influence high-profile events and help shape the future of modern sound reinforcement. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Design, develop, and test new loudspeaker enclosures, waveguides, DSP, horn assemblies, and full systems. Support the development and testing of acoustical optimisation features and algorithms in both mechanical and digital domains Set up and perform various acoustic measurements for product development Conduct acoustics-based research for future product innovations, patents, and publication opportunities Develop acoustic QA processes for both manufacturing and product support Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle—from initial concept to long-term support Ensure reliable product performance under extreme or demanding conditions Communicate progress, technical findings, and challenges to cross-functional teams Create detailed product documentation and user manuals Collaborate closely with end users, engineering, support teams, and project managers Provide recommendations for continuous improvement Travel to venues and festivals may be required for technical support or testing Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience 5–10 years of experience developing loudspeakers for professional live audio or related applications Strong critical listening skills Experience with loudspeaker design software such as: VACS AKABAK COMSOL Experience using acoustic measurement software such as: SMAART CLIO EASERA High attention to detail Strong analytical and pragmatic problem-solving approach Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively across teams Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AFMG SpeakerLab and EASE GLL Creation Waveguide simulation and design experience DSP architecture and preset development background Experience as a professional front-of-house engineer or system technician Strong knowledge of the professional audio industry
