At Hitachi Energy, we are advancing the world’s energy system to be more sustainable, flexible, and secure. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic HSE Trainee (f/m/d) to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) management. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will support our HSE activities, contribute to maintaining high safety standards, and help foster a strong culture of health, safety and environmental responsibility.


  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE policies, procedures and programs.
  • Assist with HSE risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective action planning.
  • Participate in site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with HSE standards.
  • Support HSE trainings, safety briefings and awareness initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate HSE documentation, records and reports.
  • Monitor and support the analysis of HSE performance indicators and metrics.
  • Collaborate with different teams to strengthen our safety culture and environmental awareness.
  • Support emergency preparedness and continuous improvement activities.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in developing a career in Health, Safety and Environment.
  • First practical experience in HSE through an internship or similar role is an advantage, but not mandatory.
  • Proactive mindset with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent English; German language skills are an advantage.
