As a Head of Risk & Compliance, you will be responsible for establishing, leading, and managing the Company's enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, and governance framework.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Regulatory Compliance Framework – Design, implement, and maintain the Company's enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, and governance framework in line with SBP, SECP, FATF, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- →AML/CFT & MLRO Responsibility – Act as the Company's designated MLRO, with statutory responsibility for AML/CFT compliance, including transaction monitoring, customer due diligence, and suspicious transaction/currency transaction reporting to the FMU.
- →Fintech & Payments Compliance – Ensure ongoing compliance with EMI, PSP, Company, and other fintech-specific regulatory requirements, and monitor emerging regulatory developments across digital payments and financial services.
- →Enterprise Risk Management – Develop and maintain an enterprise-wide risk framework to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate regulatory, operational, and compliance risks, and supervise the Fraud Risk Management Unit.
- →Advisory & Regulatory Guidance – Advise senior management on the regulatory and compliance implications of new products, outsourcing arrangements, and other business initiatives.
- →Regulatory Liaison – Act as the primary point of contact with regulatory authorities, managing regulatory submissions, inspections, audits, and examinations.
- →Policy & Controls Review – Review and update internal policies, procedures, and controls on an ongoing basis to keep pace with the evolving regulatory landscape.
- →Compliance Culture & Training – Foster a strong culture of compliance and ethical conduct across the organisation, including training and awareness programs for employees.
- →Board & Management Reporting – Prepare and present periodic compliance and risk reports to senior management and the Board, escalating significant breaches or emerging risks in a timely manner.
- Minimum 16 years of education, preferably a Master's from a renowned HEC recognized university or institution/equivalent foreign degree holder, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Risk Management, Law, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CAMS, ACAMS, FRM, CIA, or CRMA will be an added advantage.
- Risk & Compliance Leadership – Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Risk Management, Compliance, or Regulatory Affairs, preferably within a fintech, bank, or financial institution, with related functional experience at an equivalent position or in one level below position.
- Fintech & AML/CFT Exposure – Proven experience in a Risk or Compliance leadership role, preferably within the fintech or financial services sector, including exposure to AML/CFT and SBP regulatory requirements.
Requirements

- Regulatory Command – Strong command of the SBP regulatory landscape and global compliance standards (AML/CFT, FATF).
- Stakeholder & Regulator Engagement – Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging regulators and senior leadership.
- Integrity & Professionalism – High level of integrity, ethical judgment, and professionalism, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Composure Under Pressure – Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Self-Starter – A resourceful self-starter with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- The candidate should preferably be not more than 45 years of age as of last date of submission of application.
