Technical Lead/Manager – Product Development, System Architecture & Engineering

Location: Makati City
Work Setup: Onsite, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a hands-on Technical Lead – Product Development, System Architecture & Engineering Manager to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of scalable technology solutions. This role combines deep technical expertise with engineering leadership, requiring someone who remains actively involved in software development while mentoring engineering teams and driving product innovation.

Working closely with Product, Business, and Technology stakeholders, you will shape technical strategy, define system architecture, and oversee the successful delivery of high-quality products that support the company's digital transformation and business growth.

• →Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable, high-performance products and platforms.
• →Drive product development initiatives from technical planning through deployment.
• →Define technical architecture, engineering standards, and best practices to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions.
• →Lead one or more engineering squads, providing technical direction, coaching, and mentorship.
• →Remain hands-on by writing code, conducting code reviews, and resolving complex technical challenges.
• →Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and product roadmaps.
• →Champion Agile software development practices, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release planning.
• →Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve product performance, reliability, and developer productivity.
• →Ensure software quality through engineering governance, CI/CD practices, and architectural reviews.
• →Foster a collaborative engineering culture focused on continuous improvement and technical excellence.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading software engineering teams in a hands-on technical leadership capacity.
• Strong experience in product development, software architecture, and system design.
• Proficiency in backend technologies such as Java, Golang, Node.js, Scala, or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases including MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of API design, microservices, and service-oriented architecture.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.

Candidates with experience in Retail, E-commerce, or FMCG environments are highly preferred. Experience developing platforms supporting supply chain, logistics, warehouse management, inventory, or procurement functions is a strong advantage.
