Ice Miller LLP is seeking a highly motivated Intellectual Property Associate with at least 2 years of experience in life sciences patenting. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with an advanced degree and strong background in biological sciences to work on sophisticated patent matters for clients ranging from Fortune 50 to start-up innovative companies.

This position is open to candidates in any Ice Miller office, preferably in Philadelphia.

Responsibilities

As a member of our Intellectual Property team, you will:

→Prepare, file and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications in the life sciences sector.
→Conduct freedom-to-operate, IP due diligence, infringement, validity, and patent landscape searches and analyses.
→Advise clients on patent issues throughout the product lifecycle, including strategic consultation, portfolio management and patent enforcement.
→Collaborate with clients, colleagues, the USPTO, and foreign associates regarding domestic and international patent prosecution matters.
→Contribute to a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment that supports professional growth and client service excellence.
