Ice Miller seeks a senior level associate to join our real estate finance practice in Cleveland, OH. Ideal candidates will have five (5) to eight (8) years of experience.
About the Role
~1 min readDesired candidates will have experience with a range of sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including loans, portfolio transactions, construction and permanent financings, acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing. Experience drafting and negotiating loan documents and real estate contracts, analyzing title and survey matters, and addressing due diligence issues is preferred.
Successful candidates will primarily work with our business group in Cleveland, representing lenders and borrowers in varied and complex financial transactions with a particular focus on representing private equity funds, family offices, and long-term care investors and providers in structuring, negotiating, documenting, and closing complex M&A transactions, real estate acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures, leases, and private placements. Significant prior experience within these areas is a must. Candidates should possess a strong academic background, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to prioritize and manage workload.

Requirements

- At least five (5) years of experience practicing law in a law firm and in-house environment
- Active law license in the state where office is located
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills and business judgement
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States
