Impact Investment Readiness Indonesia (IIRI) is funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC). It works to strengthen the investment readiness of Indonesian SMEs through training, enterprise support, policy engagement, research, and investor convenings, with partners across government, finance, and the SME ecosystem in Indonesia and Canada.

You will be accountable for delivering IIRI end to end, from strategy and workplans through to results, budget, and donor reporting. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will coordinate across IIX business units and with local and Canadian partners, and you will own the program's outcomes.

Responsibilities

~1 min read
  • Own the IIRI implementation roadmap, including annual and quarterly workplans, and turn the program's logic model into sequenced delivery across all workstreams.
  • Track progress against the results framework, timeline, and budget, and resolve slippage directly rather than only escalating it.
  • Make sure all deliverables meet GAC donor requirements and IIX standards, and produce progress reports, donor updates, and MEL data.
  • Maintain workplans, risk registers, and decision records so the program is ready for audits.
  • Co-design and deliver business and financial training, plus hands-on investment-readiness support for SMEs, working with other IIX teams.
  • Build local and regional partnerships to grow the enterprise pipeline and database.
  • Manage relationships with government and regulatory counterparts, including OJK, IDX, Bappenas, and the Ministry of MSMEs, as well as ecosystem initiatives such as the Orange Movement.
  • Represent IIRI in policy dialogues and deliver policy support outputs.
  • Lead the production of research, policy papers, case studies, and learning outputs that shape the program's strategy, policy direction, and donor engagement.
  • Plan and deliver forums, roundtables, launches, and webinars.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between IIX, GAC, Indonesian partners, and IIRI's Canadian partners.
  • Represent IIRI at sector forums and donor coordination meetings.
  • Help build and lead a high-performing program team in Indonesia.
  • Oversee the program's financial and administrative operations in Indonesia.
  • [10–15]+ years of experience in program management, with significant time leading donor-funded programs. Experience with GAC or other bilateral or multilateral donors is preferred.
  • A strong working knowledge of Indonesia's SME, development finance, and impact investing landscape.
  • A track record of engaging senior government and regulatory stakeholders in Indonesia.
  • Hands-on experience with results frameworks, MEL, budget management, and donor compliance.
  • The ability to produce credible research and policy content, not just manage it.
  • Experience designing or delivering training or capacity-building programs.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Comfort operating with high ownership in a lean, cross-functional environment.
