Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Information Services team in the role of Applications Analyst-Senior.
Summary
Configures, installs, maintains and upgrades hospital information systems hardware and software under limited supervision. Administers and maintains security of operating systems. Provides operational support for the organization's information systems, peripheral equipment, and clinical applications. Provides onsite support to the organization's internal users of computer applications and hardware. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions. The role is hybrid, primarily aligned to the Pathology Laboratory support hub, with on-call responsibilities requiring occasional onsite response for break/fix issues when remote resolution is not possible and involving various Indiana-based IU Health campus locations.
Candidate Qualifications
Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
•5 -7 years of experience required.
• Prefers experience with databases or clinical applications.
• Requires knowledge of multi-application and system interdependencies.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting clinical applications such as Cerner, Epic, Allscripts, Athena, LIS platforms, or related healthcare systems; experience interfacing laboratory instruments regardless of vendor; knowledge of laboratory systems integrations; experience with Data Innovations Instrument Manager; strong analytical troubleshooting skills; ability to support system implementations, validation efforts, and ongoing production support.
Role Responsibilities
This is a senior-level Applications Analyst position supporting laboratory and clinical applications. The individual will serve as a subject matter expert, support fellow analysts and intermediate team members, lead larger initiatives, and participate in knowledge transfer activities. The role is hybrid, primarily aligned to the Pathology Laboratory support hub, with on-call responsibilities requiring occasional onsite response for break/fix issues when remote resolution is not possible.
Lead and support large-scale projects that may span weeks or months; support new instrument implementations; assist with onboarding new facilities; provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to team members; participate in an on-call rotation; troubleshoot production issues; support validation activities associated with laboratory systems and future Epic-related initiatives.
