Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding Support

  • Support District Managers and City Leads in fulfilling local staffing needs (seasonal, full-time, servicing, rental).
  • Coordinate recruitment cycles locally, from job postings to interview scheduling to final documentation.
  • Support hiring of Interns, Roadtrip Agents, Back Office, and seasonal staff.
  • Prepare and execute structured onboarding processes to ensure new hires are properly integrated.
  • Maintain precise tracking of open positions, onboarding status, and workforce planning needs.

People Administration & Compliance

  • Ensure the proper execution of people admin processes, including contracts, extensions, terminations, document requests, and file updates.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in alignment with organisational and legal requirements.
  • Support payroll processes by ensuring correct data submission and timely updates (attendance, leaves, absences).
  • Ensure all regional procedures comply with local labour legislation and internal policy.
  • Act as the regional point of contact for People policies, providing clarification and guidance.

Employee Relations & Support

  • Serve as a trusted partner for employees and local leaders on day-to-day People topics.
  • Support conflict resolution, basic investigations, and employee concerns, escalating to senior HR when required.
  • Promote a positive work culture and reinforce Indie Campers’ values through communication and team engagement.
  • Provide guidance related to policies, holidays, benefits, and internal processes.

Performance & Talent Processes

  • Support execution of performance review cycles at the regional level (mid-year, yearly).
  • Track completion rates, support leaders with documentation, and ensure timelines are followed.
  • Assist People Leads in identifying development needs, training requirements, and potential future leaders.
  • Support capability-building initiatives across depots (coaching, SOP adherence, training alignment).

Regional People Operations & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the GM, District Managers, and City Leads to understand workforce challenges and staffing needs.
  • Act as the operational link between the field and central People teams (Recruitment, Training, Payroll, Compliance).
  • Ensure correct communication flows between regional operations and HQ People.
  • Support people-related preparations for seasonal peaks, new depot openings, and in-fleet launch periods.

Culture, Engagement & Employee Experience

  • Support regional engagement initiatives (surveys, team events, recognition programs).
  • Help implement culture-building actions aligned with Indie Campers’ values and leadership expectations.
  • Assist in tracking team sentiment and identifying early warning signs of people challenges.
  • Promote a healthy, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in HR operations, HR generalist, or People Support roles, preferably in fast-paced operational environments (mobility, hospitality, retail, logistics, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of core HR processes, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, employee administration, documentation, and basic compliance.
  • Confident partnering with mid-level leaders (District Managers, City Leads, Supervisors) and supporting frontline teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to build trust and support employees at different levels.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities with accuracy and speed.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, proactive approach, and calmness under pressure.
  • Comfortable with digital tools and HR & Payroll systems
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a strong plus.
