Are you in? Your Role Key responsibilities in your new role * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields * 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in technical roles related to semiconductors, smart cards, payment systems, embedded systems, or related areas * Experience working with or supporting card manufacturers (card bureaus) is a strong advantage * Solid understanding of chip modules and ICs applied to smart card solutions, particularly in payment and transit applications * Familiarity with key industry standards is highly desirable, including: * ISO 14443 (contactless smart card communication) * ISO 7816 (contact smart card interface) * EMVCo specifications (payment chip standards) * NFC protocols and related technologies * Knowledge of contactless payment card architectures (banking and transit) is a relevant differentiator * Understanding of the card manufacturing and personalization process is considered a plus * Hands-on lab experience with smart card testing tools, card readers, protocol analyzers, or similar equipment is a significant differentiator * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to translate complex technical issues into clear, practical solutions * Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with technical teams at customer sites * Customer-oriented mindset, combining technical depth with a collaborative and supportive approach * Ability to work autonomously while also being open to guidance and mentorship from senior team members * Proactive attitude with willingness to learn and keep up with fast-evolving payment technology standards and ecosystems * Comfortable working in a multicultural and international environment, supporting customers across Latin America * Languages Portuguese: Native or fluent (mandatory) English: Fluent – written and spoken (mandatory) Spanish: Advanced (a strong plus, given LATAM scope) Your Profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed Technical Support to Customers * Serve as the primary technical point of contact for card manufacturers (bureaus) in Latin America regarding Infineon's payment chip modules * Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, assisting customers in the selection, evaluation, integration, and use of Infineon payment chip ICs * Respond to technical inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and guide customers through resolution processes in a timely and effective manner Product Selection & Application Guidance * Support customers in identifying the most suitable Infineon chip module for their specific application requirements, whether for banking contactless cards or transit applications * Provide guidance on product specifications, electrical characteristics, interface requirements, and compatibility with card body and antenna designs * Assist customers in understanding roadmaps and product migration paths as part of their long-term planning Standards & Certification Support * Guide customers through the technical aspects of EMVCo, Visa, Mastercard, and transit scheme certification processes, as they relate to the chip module * Provide clarification on applicable standards (ISO 14443, ISO 7816,EMVCo) and how they impact chip integration and card design * Keep up to date with evolving certification requirements and communicate relevant changes to customers proactively Collaboration with Sales Team * Work closely with the local and regional sales team to provide technical inputs that support business development and account management activities * Participate in customer visits, technical presentations, and demonstrations to support sales opportunities * Contribute to the preparation of technical proposals and responses to RFQs/RFIs from customers when required Internal Coordination & Escalation * Act as the technical bridge between customers and Infineon's global technical and product teams, escalating complex issues when necessary and ensuring proper follow-up * Coordinate with product line managers and application engineers at headquarters to access the latest technical documentation, tools, and support resources * Report technical trends, customer feedback, and field findings to the senior FAE and Sales Managers, contributing to product and market intelligence #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
