Staff Specialist, Reverse Engineering

Your Role Key responsibilities in your new role * Product Sourcing: Procure competitor parts for reverse engineering (RE)and benchmarking purposes, according to detailed requests from team. Additionally: Identify and procure most relevant (in terms of threatening Infineon business) products, on a component or final customer product basis, with focus on Chinese competitors. * Technology and Product Scouting: Screen tech news, trade shows, and other sources to gather information on Chinese competitors' technical and product developments in the semiconductor and package technology/manufacturing. Utilize recherche techniques, alerts, and AI to identify new sources and ideas for procuring hard-to-get parts. * Communication and Collaboration: Communicate with the Reverse Engineering team, the region Sales & Marketing team, the Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions team, and other stakeholders to discuss industry trends, most relevant competitors, product sourcing, shipment topics, and analysis requirements. * Product Analysis: ability to perform initial analysis e.g. imaging, occasionally including basic system teardown, to support RE efforts. * Network Development: Establish (or share existing) relationships with trustworthy partners, suppliers, and dealers to ensure access to authentic products and components, with the goal of avoiding procuring counterfeit products. * Shipment and Logistics: Coordinate the shipment of hardware to RE-dedicated labs in Malaysia and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Your Profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed * Language Skills: Mandarin language skills (preferably mother tongue);excellent English language skills * Communication and collaboration skills: Highly developed communication skills for discussions with SMA GC colleagues, dealers, suppliers, and remote RE teams. Ability to cooperate with all stakeholders, foremost the RE teams mainly located in Europe * Mindset: highly motivated, result-oriented, able to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, make informed decisions, inspired by making a positive impact in the organization * Technical Interest: Strong interest in latest technologies, devices, automotive and consumer products, with a focus on semiconductor and package technology/manufacturing * Problem-Solving: Out-of-the-box thinking to find new sources and ideas for procuring parts * Hands-on Skills: Experience with system teardown, imaging * Market Analysis Skills: Strong skills in Internet recherche techniques, alerts, and AI * Location: Shanghai, China, with the ability to travel to trade shows, customers meeting, and other events as needed.
