Work with the A&A Team to maintain security requirements for operation of systems
Maintain and improve existing infrastructure (build out autoscaling, support new services, optimize for cost efficiencies, authentication, search, etc.)
Produce detailed documentation
Maintain systems in an AWS environment using EC2, S3, Load Balancer, and RDS
Automate and optimize service deployments
Deliver a full-stack web application to production; identify and resolve operational issues
Actively participate in the technical requirements-gathering process (i.e., meetings with customers)
Execute design and implementation of application features independently, with minimal oversight
Refactor legacy application code for improved reliability and maintainability
Mentor junior developers
Write and read unit tests; apply code-quality analysis concepts
Write and debug JavaScript, TypeScript, or a closely related language
Develop applications backed by a relational database; apply relational database design concepts
Provide technical support to customers and participate in scrums and other agile team meetings
8+ years of IT experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements, including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA
Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services
Experience automating tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Perl
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
Familiarity with DevOps development processes and Continuous Integration tools: GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus
Extensive TypeScript or JavaScript background
Angular frontend framework; UI/UX design
Microservice-based backend architecture; integrating with COTS/FOSS software REST APIs
Experience supporting a full-stack application in a PaaS environment
CI/CD pipeline implementation, ideally with GitLab
Creating and deploying containerized applications, ideally with Docker
Designing and implementing container orchestration with Kubernetes
Strong understanding of cloud APIs and interaction with the AWS CLI
Experience with one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, or Java)
Experience with the Go programming language
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Markdown, and portal development
Database experience with a Postgres backend
Strong communication skills
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification
Certification Requirements
Most of our contracts require DoD 8140 (formerly 8570) compliance. We built
8140.study - our certification training platform - to help. This helps you study for certifications such as the CompTIA Security+.
