As a Network Engineer, you'll be at the heart of our mission to keep our customer's Data Center network, application delivery, and network security environments operating at peak performance. As a Tier III SME within the incident management process, you'll work independently with project stakeholders, system owners, project managers, and technical staff to deploy and enhance IT capabilities – driving our commitment to network modernization and operational resilience.

Support the customer's Data Center network, application delivery, and network security environments, including operations and maintenance (O&M), system integration/deployment, and solution development/design
Coordinate with project staff for solution development and deployment while managing project aspects within the applicable technical area of responsibility
Collaborate with system engineers across teams and disciplines to ensure deployments meet established technical goals and timelines
Evaluate new network technologies and make recommendations to stakeholders regarding integration into the existing network
Develop and implement methodologies for analysis, testing, and support of LAN and WAN networks
Diagnose hardware and software problems and replace defective components
Support operations and maintenance activities and administer networks, including hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations
Ensure systems are integrated with the existing performance and availability management framework
Schedule and coordinate systems changes within the established change management framework
Evaluate new system hardware and software to ensure optimal integration with existing hardware and compliance with customer standards
Prepare technical proposals for presentation to engineering review boards for adding new technologies to the network
Perform a full range of upgrades in accordance with the existing network architecture
Review user requests for network upgrades or additions, assess impact on network performance, and advise on the most practical technical approach to meeting user requirements
Perform long-term O&M activities, including Tier 3 troubleshooting and problem resolution
Interface with external Tier 4 support staff and vendor support as required for problem resolution
Utilize complex network analysis tools to identify and correct network problems while maintaining logs and records of reported issues
Prepare troubleshooting procedures for restoring the network to optimal performance levels
Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for use by technical support staff
Provide fault management for the network and support performance management functions
Senior-level understanding and experience with dynamic routing protocols, including OSPF and BGP
Senior-level understanding of data center technologies
Understanding and experience analyzing TCP/UDP application flow using external network analyzers along with built-in network switch/router diagnostic tools
Familiarity with DoD STIGs and SD-WAN
Experience with MS Visio and documenting network architectures and application flows
Strong oral and written communication skills; effective at communicating technical ideas through presentations, documentation, and meetings
Ability to learn and evaluate new technologies
Initiative, time management, and attention to detail – the candidate will manage their own projects from start to finish
Familiarity with EVPN, VXLAN, Cisco vPC, ACI, F5 load balancing, and RSTP
Experience with Cisco, F5, Juniper, and Palo Alto hardware and operating systems
10 years of experience preferred, with several years focused specifically on data center networking and technologies
Bachelors Degree in a related field or 4 years of additional experience
Professional Cisco or Juniper certifications (at a minimum CCNP, F5-CTS, or JNCIP)
Certification Requirements
Most of our contracts require DoD 8140 (formerly 8570) compliance. We built
