  • You’ll lead business development across electric and gas utility clients, originating, developing, and closing new infrastructure and capital project opportunities while building and strengthening senior‑level utility relationships. You’ll bring deep industry credibility—ideally including experience with leading utilities such as PG&E—and a proven track record of driving growth across large‑scale capital programs, grid modernization initiatives, and utility infrastructure delivery.
  • You’ll lead sales efforts and business development for a core market sector, coordinating with leadership and business development teams.
  • You’ll develop and maintain client relationships, monitor upcoming projects, and drive proposal strategies to differentiate the company from competitors.
  • You’ll oversee backlog management, assess risk, and implement mitigation plans to ensure strong project execution.
  • You’ll act as Project Director, focusing on winning proposals, launching projects, and ensuring quality assurance.
  • You’ll supervise and mentor staff, oversee performance evaluations, and support career growth and development.
  • You’ll manage service quality for clients, contribute subject matter expertise, and help develop best practices.
  • You’ll attract and retain market-specific talent while driving professional development initiatives.
  • You’ll contribute to thought leadership through industry presentations and publications.
  • Flexible: The work location for this role will include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office or center.
  • With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years of experience in project management, business development, and market leadership
  • 12-20years of utility project leadership experience with the gas or electric utility sector
  • Extensive knowledge of gas or electric utility construction and or engineering
  • Demonstrated success in business development, sales, or client leadership roles within infrastructure and capital projects
  • Direct experience working at or with major utilities, with strong preference for PG&E experience
  • Deep understanding of utility capital programs, including transmission & distribution, substations, wildfire mitigation, and gas system modernization
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory environments, capital planning processes, and utility investment cycles
  • Experience with large-scale program management, EPC, or consulting services related to infrastructure delivery
  • Prior experience as a Director or in a similar leadership role, managing a specific market or business sector
  • Proven experience in team management, staff development, and talent retention
  • PE, CCM, PMP, CFE, COA, LEED certification, or a Master’s degree
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and budgeting skills with expertise in professional services KPIs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and Primavera
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership abilities
