Licensed Veterinary Technician - Surgery

Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care in Huntington, NY is seeking an experienced and motivated Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to support an incoming board-certified surgeon in our high-volume veterinary surgery department. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced specialty hospital performing advanced soft tissue and orthopedic procedures.

We are looking for a surgery-focused technician with strong anesthesia monitoring skills, surgical nursing experience, and confidence in client communication and medical record review.

The Licensed Veterinary Technician – Surgery plays a critical role in perioperative patient care, anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation, and post-operative recovery in a busy specialty surgery service. This position requires advanced technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to support both surgical workflow and client education.

Our ideal candidate is comfortable speaking with pet owners, reviewing surgical plans and records, and guiding clients through pre- and post-operative care.
