People Ops Manager

We are looking for a highly composed, detail-oriented, and execution-focused People Operations Manager to join our team. This role is a unique blend of HR Operations, HRBP support, and Recruiting/People Ops coordination. You will be the operational backbone of our People team, managing the day-to-day employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance, and partnering with managers on employee relations and performance.

• Employee Lifecycle Management: Own the end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless, high-touch experience for all new hires and departing employees.
• HRIS & Data Integrity: Manage and audit our HRIS (Rippling), ensuring 100% accuracy in employee records, state tax allocations, job changes, and compensation data.
• Total Rewards and Benefits Administration: Administer and manage all health, welfare, and retirement programs in collaboration with finance, partnering closely with brokers and platform vendors (e.g., Accrue, Tilt).
• Compliance & Audits: Lead regular audits including 401(k) administration, worker classification (interns, contractors, FTEs), and state-by-state payroll tax compliance.

• Manager Partnership: Act as the first point of contact for managers on HR policies, performance management, and employee relations.
• Performance Cycle Support: Coordinate the execution of our bi-annual performance review and calibration cycles, ensuring timelines are met and compensation adjustments are accurately processed.
• Employee Support: Serve as a trusted resource for employees on benefits, leaves of absence (partnering with Tilt), and general workplace inquiries.

• Recruiting Operations: Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to optimize recruiting workflows, manage ATS data integrity, and coordinate seamless handoffs from candidate-to-new-hire.
• Program Management: Support the rollout or revamp of key People programs, such as onboarding, off-boarding, operation reporting, and training initiatives.

• Act as the local People Ops representative in our brand-new SF office, coordinating with building management, managing local vendor relationships, and ensuring a welcoming, productive environment for our hybrid team.

• Growth mindset with hands on AI powered operation expertises.
• 4+ years of experience in HR Operations, as an HR Generalist, or as an HRBP, ideally within a fast-growing technology company.
• You are known for your calm, steady presence. When priorities shift rapidly or complex employee situations arise, you remain level-headed and solution-oriented.
• You believe that "the small things are the big things." You double-check data, spot Rippling discrepancies before they become payroll issues, and take pride in flawless execution.
• You don't just execute processes—you want to understand why they work and how to make them better. You learn quickly, adapt to new tools, and actively seek feedback to grow.
• You are comfortable with ambiguity and can pivot quickly. You understand that in a high-growth environment, moving fast and maintaining high quality are both non-negotiable.
• You communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally across all levels of the organization.
