The role
Integrity 360 are looking for a Senior and experienced Security Operations Centre Manager with proven experience in leading and managing a SOC to oversee the security operations team. The SOC manager will have experience working within an MSS/MSSP environment and will provide technical guidance if needed, but most importantly, they will be in charge of managing the teams. This includes hiring, training and evaluating team members; creating processes; assessing incident reports; and developing and implementing necessary crisis communication plans. They will be responsible for evaluating and implementing security technologies and tools, staying updated on the latest trends and advancements in cyber security.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Intgerity360 SOCs in Madrid and Rome, ensuring the timely and effective delivery of security monitoring, incident response, threat intelligence and vulnerability management services.
- Lead and develop a team of Cyber SOC analysts, providing coaching, mentoring, performance management and career development opportunities ensuring that the SOC team members are motivated, engaged and productive, identifying opportunities for training and improvement for career growth.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and implement security operations policies, procedures, standards and best practices.
- Monitor and report on the security operations performance, metrics, KPIs and SLAs, identifying and addressing any gaps, issues or areas for improvement.
- Monitor your budget and margin, ensuring correct reporting and invoicing,
- Monitor customer satisfaction, review performances and propose possible improvements
- Work with other SOC managers in other geographies to and achieve own objectives through influencing others
- Act as a senior operational point of contact for key customers.
- Manage complex detection-related challenges such as: Alert flooding, Misconfigured detections, Pentest-related activity handling, client-specific detection behaviors
- Experience working with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, detection platforms, and threat intelligence frameworks.
Required Experience and Skills
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years in senior security operations lead role.
- Native/Professional Spanish and Professional English
- Strong people management skill with proven experience in leading and managing a SOC and a team of cyber analysts of varying experience, preferably in a large and complex organisation
- Experience working within an MSP / MSSP environment.
- Experience dealing with customers and escalations.
- Knowledge of security operations processes, tools and technologies, such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, XDR NDR, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, forensics and malware analysis.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, standards and regulations, such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, PCI DSS, GDPR and others will be an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision, both written and verbally
- Excellent presentation skills, and the ability to communicate complex information and cyber security concepts and issues to various audiences.
- Excellent project management, organisational, and time management skills,
- Able to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, and the ability to handle sensitive information and cyber security matters with discretion.
