We are now expanding aggressively across the Chicagoland and Midwest legal markets and are seeking a highly driven Senior Business Development Executive who knows how to build relationships, earn trust, and generate long-term business inside the legal community.

This is not a transactional sales role. We are looking for someone who understands how to develop firms into long-term strategic accounts.


The Opportunity

This is a field-based growth role for a senior business developer who can open doors, build trust quickly, and convert law firms into recurring strategic accounts.

Primary target segments include:

· Personal Injury firms

· Workers’ Compensation firms

· Auto Accident practices

· Litigation-focused firms

· Legal support organizations

· Court reporting and litigation service environments


The role owns Chicagoland business development and supports expansion across priority Midwest markets, with selective growth opportunities in national legal hubs.

We are intentionally seeking someone located outside downtown Chicago, but within driving distance for regular in-person visits throughout the region.


Who You Are

You are commercially aggressive, relationship-driven, and comfortable winning business through direct outreach, in-person presence, and disciplined follow-through. Your focus is to create durable account value by:

· Onboard firms

· Become part of their workflow

· Build recurring revenue

· Develop strategic partnerships

· Create trust with attorneys, legal assistants, and office managers

· Coordinate closely with operations to ensure flawless execution


You run a disciplined pipeline, sustain daily outreach, and balance new logo acquisition with account expansion. You are someone who:

· Creates opportunities instead of waiting for them

· Builds credibility quickly

· Communicates professionally and confidently

· Understands urgency in the legal industry

· Knows how to negotiate and close

· Can balance hunting new business with growing existing accounts


What Success Looks Like

Success in this role will be defined by the ability to:

· Build and convert a high-quality pipeline of law firms and legal decision-makers

· Execute consistent outbound prospecting across phone, email, networking, and in-person visits

· Establish recurring client relationships across attorneys, legal assistants, office managers, and litigation support teams

· Partner effectively with marketing and operations to drive retention, expansion, and market visibility

· Build recognizable market presence in Chicagoland and contribute to broader regional growth


Key Responsibilities

· Develop and close new business opportunities within the legal sector

· Prospect daily through calls, emails, referrals, networking, and in-person outreach

· Build relationships with personal injury, workers’ compensation, and litigation-focused firms

· Create and execute territory growth strategies

· Maintain a disciplined and active sales pipeline within the CRM

· Coordinate client onboarding and ensure smooth implementation

· Partner with operations and customer success teams to deliver outstanding client experiences

· Conduct regular client visits and account reviews

· Upsell and cross-sell interpretation and translation services

· Represent Interprenet at legal industry associations and networking events

· Track market intelligence, competitor activity, and growth opportunities


Ideal Candidate Profile

Required Experience

· 5+ years of B2B sales success in legal services, court reporting, litigation support, legal technology, or a closely related professional services environment

Preferred Background

Preferred experience includes selling into:

· Plaintiff firms

· Insurance defense firms

· Litigation support departments

· Court reporting agencies

· Legal administrators

· Managing partners

· Case managers and legal assistants

Core Competencies

· Executive presence, strong communication, and the ability to build credibility quickly

· Disciplined prospecting, pipeline management, and follow-through

· Negotiation skill, closing ability, and a strategic account growth mindset

· Operational maturity and cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, and service teams

Preferred Qualifications

· Existing legal industry network strongly preferred

· Experience and adaptability with CRM systems and pipeline management

· Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus

· Experience in interpretation, translation, or language services is highly valued


Territory Expectations

This role is field-oriented and relationship-driven.

Expected activity includes:

· Regular in-person client visits throughout Chicagoland

· Frequent networking and association involvement

· Daily outbound prospecting activity

· Strategic account planning

· Occasional travel within the Midwest and targeted national markets


Compensation & Benefits

· Competitive compensation of $100,000 to $135,000 USD.
