This role is responsible for operational leadership and strategic execution across Intus Care’s clinical service lines including population health, utilization management, and corporate compliance. Reporting to the Chief Population Health Officer (CPHO), the Director of Clinical Operations will drive scalable service delivery operations, oversee day-to-day operational performance and team execution, and serve as a key cross-functional partner to Product and Engineering to translate service line needs into clear technical requirements.
This is a highly collaborative role for a strong operator who thrives in fast-paced environments, builds systems that scale, and can represent population health leadership in internal and external settings. The ideal candidate brings deep population health / value-based care experience and strong operational rigor, but is not necessarily a licensed clinician.
1. Operational Excellence & Workforce Scalability
Define and evolve the clinical service delivery model to support company growth, scalability, and sustainable margins
Develop and maintain a multi-year roadmap for clinical services scalability across people, processes, technology, and analytics
Own end-to-end performance and operational health of clinical services
Design and implement scalable workflows, operating procedures, and quality assurance frameworks
Establish capacity planning models and workforce forecasting aligned to growth projections and service demand
Design the clinical workforce architecture (role structure, scope-of-practice optimization, staffing ratios) to maximize productivity and efficiency
Implement continuous improvement processes to increase service quality, efficiency, and delivery consistency
Ensure operational readiness for new clients, products, or service expansions
Lead operational change management across clinical teams to support adoption of new processes and systems
2. Technology, Product & Automation Enablement
Translate operational and clinical service needs into product and technology requirements that improve scalability and automation
Identify opportunities to streamline or automate clinical workflows through technology enablement
Serve as a liaison between Clinical Services, Product, and Engineering
3. Performance & Quality Measurement
Establish and monitor unit economics and productivity targets (staffing ratios, utilization, cost per service) to ensure scalable service delivery
Drive visibility into service performance, profitability, and ROI
Establish performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to monitor service productivity, utilization, outcomes, and operational health
Clinical service delivery is quickly scalable, repeatable, and measurable, with stronger consistency across customers
UM function is fully centralized and supports increased staff to member ratio (from 1:1200 to 1:2000)
Full implementation of ICS 2026 roadmap with strategic technology implementation to measurably improve productivity of teams and customer ROI
Fully operational data analytics function within ICS team using robust and current data sets accurately measuring burden of illness, service ROI, and metrics necessary to drive ICS work
Product and Engineering have clearer requirements and faster alignment with the clinical services team
Team workflows, ownership, and performance expectations are well-defined and operating smoothly

Proven track record as a strong operator: building workflows, improving systems, and driving execution across teams
Ability to translate operational and clinical concepts into structured requirements and communicate effectively with technical partners (Product/Engineering)
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to influence without authority
High attention to detail, strong follow-through, and a bias toward action
Preferred
Experience working with or supporting health care models supporting older adults with chronic illness, post-acute, or senior care populations
Experience managing teams and implementing operational cadences (KPIs, dashboards, standups, retros, etc.)
Familiarity with healthcare analytics workflows, care management operations, and/or customer delivery models in healthtech
Not Required
Clinical licensure (RN, NP, MD) is not required and may not be the best fit for this role if it comes at the expense of operational depth
