OCONUS Travel Compliance Coordinator

The position also contributes to audits, policy updates, training, standard operating procedures, and process improvements.

Serve as a liaison with international business stakeholders and government entities to coordinate OCONUS travel arrangements.

Coordinate and process Letters of Authorization through the Synchronized Predeployment and Operational Tracker (SPOT) system.

Communicate travel compliance requirements, policy updates, and procedural changes to program leadership and travelers.

Ensure required passports, visas, Letters of Authorization, APACS submissions, country clearances, and other travel documentation are obtained before deployment or travel.

Coordinate OCONUS travel arrangements while ensuring alignment with applicable Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) requirements and organizational travel policies.

Monitor travel activities for compliance with Department of Defense regulations, Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), Federal Travel Regulations (FTR), and applicable contractual requirements.

Maintain current knowledge of country-specific clearance and travel requirements and communicate relevant changes to stakeholders.

Conduct regular audits and reviews of travel documentation and identify potential compliance gaps.

Report non-compliance issues to program leadership and support corrective actions.

Maintain accurate personnel information throughout deployments and temporary duty assignments.

Track document acquisition, travel plans, compliance milestones, and execution status.

Ensure appropriate supporting documentation is submitted for travel claims and expenses.

Use Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint to maintain records, produce reports, track documentation, and communicate requirements.

Assist with developing and updating OCONUS travel policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.

Provide guidance and training to employees regarding travel compliance requirements and processes.

Develop and maintain operational content, training materials, communications, and procedural documentation in collaboration with program leadership.

Provide additional administrative and program support as needed.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of professional experience.

Active Secret security clearance required.

Strong knowledge of federal regulations and Department of Defense policies governing OCONUS travel.

Hands-on experience with the Synchronized Predeployment and Operational Tracker (SPOT) system.

Familiarity with SOFA requirements, Joint Travel Regulations, Federal Travel Regulations, and country-specific travel clearance processes.

Strong organizational and planning skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and travel requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Proactive problem-solving approach with the ability to identify compliance issues and develop practical solutions.

Ability to work independently with limited oversight while maintaining accurate documentation and consistent follow-through.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Experience supporting government services or government contracting environments is preferred.

Ability to collaborate effectively with program management, travelers, government representatives, and other stakeholders.
