The Program Sr. Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a complex, high-value program with significant technical, operational, and business responsibilities.
You’ll oversee a portfolio generating more than $10 million in annual revenue while ensuring contractual commitments, service levels, quality standards, and financial objectives are achieved.
The role serves as a key point of contact for clients and internal leadership, coordinating priorities and resolving issues across multiple teams.
You’ll lead technical and administrative professionals, including subordinate managers, while building a high-performing team focused on reliable delivery and strong client relationships.
The position combines program execution, financial management, workforce planning, business development, subcontractor oversight, and transition management.
You’ll collaborate across cloud, infrastructure, applications, and other technology capabilities to support evolving program requirements.
This is a remote leadership opportunity with regular travel to client locations and significant responsibility for shaping program performance and long-term outcomes.

Own end-to-end program delivery across technical and business functions, ensuring commitments related to scope, schedule, cost, quality, and performance are consistently achieved.

Ensure the program team fulfills contractual obligations and service-level agreements while proactively identifying, mitigating, and resolving delivery risks.

Manage workforce planning and personnel assignments, including timely onboarding and offboarding of resources.

Serve as a primary communication point for client technical personnel, coordinating activities, negotiating tasks, addressing concerns, and resolving issues.

Lead and supervise technical and administrative personnel, including subordinate supervisors, with responsibility for hiring, performance management, and other key personnel actions.

Manage technical execution, financial performance, and business development activities across a program portfolio generating $10 million or more in annual revenue.

Build and maintain a high-performing team focused on quality outcomes, financial performance, accountability, and strong client relationships.

Oversee the quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participation in reviews, audits, and site visits.

Lead and coordinate transition activities throughout the contract lifecycle, working with functional leads to ensure smooth and effective transitions.

Identify and leverage relevant capabilities across cloud, infrastructure, application development, and related technology areas to support program operations and transition activities.

Participate in business development throughout the program lifecycle, including preparing and reviewing technical and cost proposals.

Direct financial management activities, including budget development, cost analysis, cost quoting, cost control, reconciliation, and initiatives designed to improve profitability.

Coordinate and monitor subcontractor activities, including deliverables, performance, and financial administration.

Develop, review, and approve program plans, schedules, consulting agreements, and other program documentation.

Prepare and present program reports, technical reviews, and other updates for senior leadership as required.

Ensure program activities comply with applicable corporate policies, contractual requirements, government standards, and established procedures.

Participate in strategic initiatives and special projects as needed.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

15+ years of relevant experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams in complex environments.

Demonstrated experience leading technical and administrative personnel, including subordinate supervisors.

Experience with hiring, performance evaluations, workforce planning, and people management.

Proven ability to direct complex programs and achieve both client and organizational objectives.

Strong experience managing contractual obligations, service-level commitments, delivery risks, and program performance.

Demonstrated ability to work directly with clients, align priorities, coordinate activities, and resolve complex issues.

Strong financial and business management capabilities, including budgeting, cost control, financial analysis, and profitability management.

Experience overseeing subcontractors, vendors, or other external partners is beneficial.

Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities across technical, operational, financial, and business development areas.

Strong judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions in complex and fast-moving environments.

Ability to develop high-performing teams and foster accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.

Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30% or more to client locations in Montgomery, Alabama, and Huntsville, Alabama.
