This fully remote role supports the modernization of a mission-critical case management application used across the U.S. federal court system.
You’ll guide Agile teams within a mature Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment, helping them deliver against program and product objectives.
The position combines Scrum facilitation, coaching, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
You’ll work closely with Product Owners, Product Management, technical teams, customers, and senior stakeholders to maintain alignment and delivery momentum.
The role requires strong leadership without direct authority, creating an environment where teams can become increasingly self-organizing and accountable.
You’ll help identify dependencies and impediments, improve transparency, and strengthen collaboration across multiple teams and releases.
This is an opportunity to contribute to complex software modernization initiatives while working in a structured, high-tempo Agile environment.

Establish team goals and delivery plans aligned with Program Increment (PI) objectives.
Coach technical teams and Product Owners on Agile principles, Scrum, Kanban, Epic development, User Story creation, and effective delivery practices.
Manage expectations and facilitate collaboration across multiple Product Owners and stakeholders.
Engage in client discussions, negotiations, and senior-management interactions as required.
Provide leadership on significant technical assignments and delivery activities.
Facilitate communication across teams and organizational levels to identify dependencies, risks, and impediments that could affect delivery.
Develop and support mitigation plans for delivery risks, dependencies, and team blockers.
Organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews/Demos, and Retrospectives.
Maintain JIRA and other team information radiators to provide clear visibility into progress, priorities, and delivery status.
Mentor and coach team members on Agile values, principles, practices, and processes.
Help teams become increasingly self-organizing and self-managing while maintaining accountability for committed outcomes.
Partner with Product Management to develop release plans and ensure product backlogs are visible, prioritized, actionable, and well maintained.
Encourage collective ownership of analysis, development, testing, documentation, and other committed work.
Establish and maintain clear Definitions of Done at story, sprint, and release levels.
Facilitate effective decision-making, conflict resolution, and team discussions.
Protect teams from unnecessary external interference while maintaining appropriate stakeholder communication.
Support internal and external communication and improve transparency across delivery activities.
Foster a trusting and psychologically safe environment where team members can raise concerns and focus on solutions.
Assess Scrum maturity and provide coaching that supports sustainable, incremental improvement.
Promote continuous improvement and recommend practical adjustments to established delivery practices.
Participate in Scrum of Scrums activities to coordinate cross-team dependencies, release plans, and integration testing.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, Product Owners, technical teams, and other stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree plus at least 5 years of experience working in an Agile software development environment.
Hands-on experience implementing and working within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Professional experience within a software development organization or closely related technical environment.
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively in a fast-paced, high-tempo environment.
Strong understanding of Scrum, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Kanban, PI Planning, and Agile delivery practices.
Proven ability to build strong team dynamics, collaboration, trust, and shared accountability.
Excellent facilitation, coaching, mentoring, influencing, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to identify practical, mutually beneficial solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage technical teams, customers, Product Owners, and senior stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, combined with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing delivery challenges.
Ability to operate patiently and effectively in complex environments while maintaining momentum and focus on outcomes.
Energetic, goal-oriented, innovative, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
Ability to work remotely and collaborate effectively across distributed teams.

✓Expected salary range of $114,750–$155,250 per year, with actual compensation determined by experience, geographic location, and potentially contractual requirements.
