The role combines strategic product ownership with hands-on collaboration across Engineering, Design, Analytics, Credit, Marketing, Commercial, and Legal.
You will identify high-value opportunities, guide multiple teams toward shared priorities, and make thoughtful decisions across growth, risk, consumer needs, and business commitments.
Your work will directly influence activation, conversion, repeat engagement, and consumers’ understanding of their available purchasing power.
Through research, experimentation, behavioral data, and strong product judgment, you will help create personalized experiences that build trust and encourage responsible access to credit.
This is a remote-first opportunity offering substantial autonomy, cross-functional influence, and the ability to shape products used by a broad consumer audience.
- Define a cohesive product vision and strategy for consumer credit experiences, identifying the most valuable customer problems and translating them into priorities across multiple teams.
- Develop intuitive experiences that help consumers explore financing options before checkout, understand their purchasing power, and recognize when credit becomes available again after repayment.
- Create personalized journeys for new and returning consumers by using customer research, experimentation, and behavioral insights to determine the most relevant information, guidance, and next steps.
- Own merchant prequalification and purchasing power experiences, partnering with credit decisioning and platform teams to translate underlying capabilities into clear and consistent consumer-facing products.
- Bring Engineering, Design, Analytics, Credit, Marketing, Commercial, and Legal stakeholders together to resolve complex tradeoffs involving consumer needs, growth, risk, and partner commitments.
- Influence senior leaders through clear recommendations, strong product judgment, data-driven decision-making, and effective communication of risks and opportunities.
- Define product success metrics, lead discovery and experimentation, and use funnel analysis and customer feedback to improve activation, purchase conversion, repeat engagement, and product comprehension.
- Continuously evaluate opportunities and outcomes to determine which initiatives should be scaled, adjusted, or discontinued.
Requirements
~1 min read- 7+ years of product management experience with a demonstrated track record of taking consumer products from discovery through launch and scaling adoption.
- Experience building impactful products in fintech, e-commerce, marketplaces, or similarly complex consumer environments.
- Proven ability to independently set strategic direction for a substantial product area, influence senior stakeholders, and align multiple teams around priorities and measurable outcomes.
- Strong consumer product judgment, with the ability to translate complex systems and financial concepts into intuitive, trustworthy user experiences.
- Strong technical and strategic depth, including the ability to connect long-term opportunities with practical product and platform decisions and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Analytical and experimental rigor, combining customer research, behavioral data, and structured experimentation to prioritize opportunities and evaluate tradeoffs.
- Demonstrated ability to bring structure to ambiguous problems, make sound decisions with incomplete information, and clearly communicate rationale, risks, and required support.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build alignment across technical, commercial, risk, legal, and customer-focused teams.
- Experience with credit, lending, personalization, or AI-powered consumer experiences is a plus.
- Ability to learn complex domains quickly and distinguish meaningful customer-focused innovation from technology without a clear user need.
