At Amana Living, our Community Support Workers do more than provide care, they build trusted relationships and help older people continue living independently, safely, and with dignity in their own homes.

This is a truly rewarding role where your kindness, compassion, and reliability make a genuine difference in someone’s day.

About the Role

~1 min read

No two days are ever the same. You’ll support elderly clients in their homes with a range of tasks that promote comfort, wellbeing, and independence, including:

  • Personal care such as showering, dressing and personal hygiene
  • Meal preparation and domestic cleaning
  • Social support and companionship
  • Shopping assistance and transport
  • Additional care needs such as fitting and removing pressure stockings, respite support, and assistance with medication (where required)

You’re someone who genuinely enjoys helping others and understands the importance of empathy, respect, and independence in aged care. You are comfortable working independently, confident driving clients, and committed to providing thoughtful, person-centred support.

You may already have experience in aged care or community services or you might bring valuable lived experience through caring responsibilities. Either way, your caring nature is what matters most.

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our clients, you will need:

  • A current National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months)
  • Evidence of an up-to-date flu vaccination
  • A current driver’s licence
  • Access to a reliable, WA-registered vehicle with full comprehensive insurance
  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical and reference checks
  • Availability to attend a 5-day paid induction program
