We are looking for Head of Accounting (Baltics) to lead and develop our accounting function across Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia.
In this role, you will take full ownership of accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial processes, while supporting business growth and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Accounting function across the Baltic region, ensuring strong team performance and alignment with business goals
  • Oversee full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, bank transactions, intercompany processes, and month-end closing
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting in line with local regulations and Group standards
  • Develop and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls across all Baltic entities
  • Manage statutory reporting and ensure timely submission to regulatory authorities (e.g. State Revenue Service, PTAC, etc.)
  • Ensure full compliance with tax regulations and coordinate all tax reporting (VAT, CIT, payroll taxes)
  • Drive efficiency, standardization, and process optimization across accounting and financial operations
  • Prepare management reports and provide ad hoc financial insights to support decision-making
  • Partner with senior management to shape financial strategies and business models
  • Provide accounting and legal assessment of complex transactions, ensuring full compliance with legislation
  • Oversee outsourced accounting activities in Lithuania and Estonia, ensuring quality, consistency, and control across processes
  • Collaborate closely with Group Finance and accounting teams across all markets
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring audit readiness and proper documentation
  • Oversee payroll processes and ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team
 Professional Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior accounting leadership role (e.g. Head of Accounting, Chief Accountant), preferably in an international or multi-entity environment
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements across the Baltic countries (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia)
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably MS Dynamics 365 Business Central), including implementation or optimization projects
  • Experience in the tourism, travel, or service-based industries is a strong advantage
  • Strong English communication skills (both written and spoken); knowledge of Russian is considered a plus
Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) are a strong advantage
Technical Skills:
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets (data analysis, reconciliations, reporting)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI or similar) is a plus
  • Experience with payroll and tax reporting systems in the Baltic region
  • Familiarity with VAT reporting, e-invoicing, and statutory reporting tools
  • Experience working with outsourced accounting providers or shared service environments
  • Basic understanding of IT access controls and user rights management
